Saccade ("we", "our", or "the app") is a speed reading training application. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect and how we handle it.
The short version: Your data stays on your device. We don't collect, store, or share your personal information with anyone.
Data Stored on Your Device
Saccade stores the following data locally on your device to provide app functionality:
- Progress data: Your XP, level, tier, and reading speed history
- Session history: Records of your training sessions including dates, WPM achieved, and comprehension results
- Streak information: Your current daily streak count
- Preferences: Settings like haptic feedback preferences and chronotype (morning/evening person)
- Subscription status: Whether you have an active Saccade Pro subscription
This data is stored using Apple's standard on-device storage and is not transmitted to any external servers.
Data We Do Not Collect
We do not collect, store, or have access to:
- Your name, email, or contact information
- Your location data
- Your reading content or personal notes
- Analytics or usage tracking data
- Advertising identifiers
- Any data from other apps on your device
Notifications
If you enable notifications, Saccade will send local reminders to help you maintain your training habit. These notifications are scheduled and delivered entirely on your device. No notification data is sent to external servers.
Subscriptions & Payments
Saccade Pro subscriptions are processed entirely through Apple's App Store. We do not have access to your payment information, credit card details, or Apple ID. All payment processing is handled by Apple according to their privacy policy.
Third-Party Services
Saccade does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. The only third-party service used is Apple's StoreKit for processing in-app purchases.
Data Deletion
Since all data is stored locally on your device, you can delete all Saccade data at any time by:
- Using the "Reset Progress" option in the app's Settings
- Deleting the Saccade app from your device
Children's Privacy
Saccade does not knowingly collect any personal information from children. The app is suitable for users of all ages as it does not collect personal data.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
